They Didn’t See the Flowers

They Didn’t See the Flowers is a crime thriller novella about a murder in Halifax, Nova Scotia. More than a typical whodunnit, the story throws together three families of different heritages (one Indigenous, one Black Canadian, and one of British descent). A young police officer, Buddy, leaves no stone unturned to bring the perp to justice. It’s action-packed but also deals with themes of racism and radicalism.
