The Rainbow Race

A broken-down car. A girl in a Rolls Royce. One unforgettable summer romance at Camp Sunshine.

Seventeen-year-old Eleanor Willis wants sunshine, friendship, and maybe her first kiss. But when her mom’s ancient car dies at the bottom of the camp hill, she ends up walking—right past a black Rolls Royce. Inside? A gorgeous blue-eyed girl. Instant crush… until the girl scowls and rolls up the window.

Her name is Yvette Fleur—half-French, perfectly stylish, and definitely not here for camp. She wants to go home. She doesn’t do bonding activities. And she really doesn’t do romance.

Eleanor, however, is all in. As leader of Team Indigo in the camp’s legendary lake crossing race, she’s determined to win. Trouble is, her team consists of two competitive over-achievers, a fashion designer obsessed with uniforms instead of raft stability, and Yvette—who disappears at every opportunity.

Winning the race might be the easy part. Winning over Yvette? That will take late-night talks, unexpected laughs, and proving that not everyone leaves—especially when you let them into your heart.

Fun, flirty, and full of heart, The Rainbow Race is perfect for fans of Becky Albertalli, Casey McQuiston, and feel-good LGBTQ+ teen love stories. Start your Camp Sunshine adventure today!
