The Apostle’s Shadow

In The Apostle’s Shadow, Marcus, a hardened loner and drifter, finds himself reluctantly entangled with a group of early Christians led by Paul, whose faith and resilience intrigue him despite his skepticism. Drawn in by their sense of purpose and the warmth of their communal life, Marcus wrestles with his own painful past, unable to shake the beliefs he’s held about survival, trust, and betrayal. The story follows Marcus’s inner struggle and transformation, as he is gradually moved by Paul’s unwavering strength, Hannah’s quiet loyalty, and the genuine courage of the community he once considered naïve.

When the Romans intensify their crackdown on the Christians, Marcus faces a choice: abandon them for his own safety, or stay and risk his life for the people he’s come to care about.

The Apostle’s Shadow is a story of redemption, resilience, and the struggle to trust amidst fear. Through Marcus’s journey, the novel explores themes of forgiveness, loyalty, and the discovery of inner freedom, showing how even the hardest of hearts can be softened by a faith that transcends fear and sacrifice.
