Dimmed by the soft glow of the kitchen light, Jessica sat with her Bible opened before, unread, her heart weighed down by exhaustion. Raising three children in a culture that did it’s best to tug them in every direction except towards faith felt overwhelming at times. From school pressure to social media distractions to the pace of life, she often wondered if trying to raise them in a christ-centered way was even making a difference.

One night,after another dispute with her teen son over attendance,she crumple into prayer.

Lord,if don’t know what to do.i feel as if I am failing them. In the silence,a verse came to her heart, Isaiah 40:11:

“He tends His flock like a sharped : He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart; He gently leads those that are Young;

For the first time in a long time, Jessica realized she wasn’t alone.

Parenting wasn’t something to be done in her own strength. God was with her, guiding her,carring her children even when she couldn’t.

One of the most solemn responsibilities which God entrusts to us is parenting. This is not only about bringing up children who will be successful according to wordly standards but raising souls who shall know, Love and follow Christ . psalm 127:3 says, “children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him”. As we lean into this call not by our own abilities but by the Grace of God; He desires to use us in the building of the next generation.
