Loving Nevada

Nevada Skylark has been performing since she was nine-years old. As a child, she was under the tutorship of her beloved grandfather. As an adult she was protected and managed by her trusted manager and her cousins, who were also her back-up singers. Growing up on the road had been a lifestyle she knew, and understood. But life was shifting, whether she wanted it to or not. Her beloved cousins, only slightly older, were her best friends had had grown up faster than she had, and they were changing. Suddenly, there were husbands, and babies, that took priority over traveling and singing. Jackson was her only constant, and she was beginning to see him differently.

Managing a trio of young women wasn’t an easy task, but Jack Cassidy loved his job. As the only son of a mid-western parents, he’d always tried to make them proud. They didn’t understand his love of music, but they’d allowed it as long as he kept his grades up, and he had. Finishing law school had been fulfilling a dream of his father. Marrying young had pleased his mother. Music had been derailed until his wife had encouraged him to audition as a guitarist. Then they’d traveled the country together, helping in every way they could. Losing his parents to a car accident had been hard. Losing his wife would have broken him if he hadn’t had the Skylarks. Now as the Skylark girls were going their separate ways, he only had Nevada to guide and protect. The problem was he wanted to lead her to straight into his bed.
