Game Plan

Star quarterback. Elite swimmer. One shattered love story getting a second chance—if the past doesn’t destroy it first.

Mason

I lost her once.

Melinda Shepard was the only girl I’ve ever loved, and when her world fell apart, she pushed me out with it. Eight months later, we’re starting over at the same university on athletic scholarships—and this time, I’m done pretending she means nothing to me.

Campus is huge, but somehow she’s everywhere. In the stands. In the halls. In my head.

She says we’re better off as strangers. I know better.

Melinda

I ran from him once.

Mason Pierce was my best friend, my biggest weakness, and the one person I wanted most when everything inside me was breaking. Losing him was supposed to help me heal. Instead, he’s followed me into every heartbeat I thought I’d repaired.

Now I’ve rebuilt myself stronger than before. I have goals, friends, and a future I refuse to lose. Nothing will distract me from rising to the top of my sport—except the boy who still owns every broken piece of my heart.

But just when we dare to hope for a second chance, new threats and buried truths rise to the surface. And this time, losing each other could cost us everything.

Falling for your first love twice?

Turns out the second time might hurt even more.
