Data – Value – Creation

“This book is about data and how to deal with it. Starting from a historical description of where we stand now at the end of the Covid-19 pandemic and all the (technological) changes that have resulted from it, the authors take the reader to a future that is already here. In this context, organizations have the choice between two scenarios: either follow a blue process of implementing drastic cost reductions, using digitization as an efficiency tool, or opt for Digital Transformation 4.0 with a disruptive theme. The authors, experts from various backgrounds, not only visionaries but also strategists, communication coaches, economists, and IT and privacy lawyers, provide many surprising and unexpected insights: this book can turn your entrepreneurial vision upside down! The book covers various technical developments such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and quantum computers. Additionally, it addresses many other aspects such as psychology, language, good governance, and compliance. The reader becomes familiar with terms like ‘emerging technologies’ and ‘disruptors rules.’ Overall, it offers a truly holistic view, illustrated with many compelling examples, images, statistics, and other visuals that bring the book to life. The book’s greatest value lies in translating the theory into the daily operation of a business, also by addressing legal aspects. This is done with the awareness that complex changes, especially concerning the smart use of data from existing businesses and people, cannot take place without a thorough knowledge of (European) law and the experience and skill to translate it into good agreements. Spend a few days reading this book, so that as an entrepreneur, you can amaze your board, management, and even your CIO/CTO with the acquired and up-to-date knowledge. It will certainly help you make choices for the future and adjust your organization’s strategy, vision, and mission to the technological wave washing over us. “”Can one book about data turn your entrepreneurial vision upside down? Yes, it can with this book!”” Ernst van Win, Partner at De Clercq Advocaten en Notariaat. “”This book provides many insights and glimpses into how things can be improved. The authors navigate ‘close to the wind,’ ensuring that you are stimulated. We commend the authors for this state-of-the-art compilation of knowledge and expertise!”” Wouter Bronsgeest, Chairman of KNVI & Sandra de Waart.”
