Alien Dimensions: The Shepherd’s Wasteland

Look up at the moon. It’s not a satellite. It’s an interstellar slaughterhouse.

Lin Shen is an ordinary surveyor mapping the desolate, fog-shrouded peaks of the Qinling Mountains. His life is defined by grueling work and scraping by to pay rent with the woman he loves, Xu Weiyang. But when his 3D laser scanner uncovers an anomaly—an absolute void in the fabric of reality—he accidentally breaches the veil of our universe.

Violently abducted to the dark side of the moon, Lin Shen discovers a terrifying truth: Earth is not a sanctuary. It is a cosmic pasture. And the high-dimensional entities that seeded humanity are finally returning for the harvest.

Forced into a parasitic bond with an ancient alien artifact, Lin Shen barely escapes back to Earth. But he is no longer just human; he is a walking quantum singularity, burdened with the god-like authority of a “Warden.” To save humanity from an impending alien invasion by the predatory Void Race, he must hurl himself into the treacherous depths of an interstellar dark forest.

From the radioactive, cyberpunk-infused black markets of the Orion Arm to the ancient gravity locks buried deep beneath the Egyptian Pyramids, Lin Shen must shed his humanity piece by piece. He is forced to trade his most precious memories for phase armor and survival, transforming from a desperate mortal into a ruthless cosmic hunter.

Yet, in a universe governed by the merciless laws of cosmic horror and hard science fiction, divine power demands an agonizing price. To shield his civilization and the woman he loves, Lin Shen faces the ultimate apocalyptic trolley problem. He must weaponize time travel and timeline manipulation to surgically erase his own existence—tearing out his own heart to build an impenetrable fortress around the Milky Way.

Spanning from the gritty reality of modern-day Earth to a far-flung dystopian future 30,000 years later, this novel brilliantly answers one of real-world astronomy’s greatest mysteries: the true origin of the KBC Void.
