A Year of Serenity and Prosperity

A Spiritual Companion for the Journey to Financial Recovery

The twelve-step program of Debtors Anonymous supports individuals around the world who suffer from problems related to compulsive debting. It offers a simple program of recovery through which debtors can begin to arrest this serious and progressive illness. The program rests on the foundation of the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Debtors Anonymous.

A Year of Serenity and Prosperity features 366 daily readings on D.A. recovery, written by a diverse cross-section of members reflecting a wide range of lived experience. Each entry is paired with an excerpt from Conference-approved D.A. literature and a guiding thought or meditation for the day.

This book’s main purpose is to support D.A. members in their daily spiritual practice and to introduce the program’s spiritual solution to anyone suffering from compulsive debt or its commonly associated symptoms, such as compulsive spending, underearning, overworking, self-deprivation, and vagueness.

Whether you’re new to recovery or have years of solvency, A Year of Serenity and Prosperity offers experience, strength, hope, and clarity for building a new relationship with a Higher Power and with money-grounded in spiritual abundance, self-worth, and daily action. Let each day’s reflection be a gentle guide toward freedom, service, solvency, and serenity.
